17-4 PH Stainless Steel Flanges consist predominantly of chromium (15-17.5%), nickel (3-5%), and copper (3-5%), with niobium added for improved strength through precipitation hardening. This alloy has excellent mechanical properties, such as a tensile strength of up to 1100 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1000 MPa in heat-treated forms. The alloy possesses high strength combined with a moderate corrosion resistance and good toughness, even when hardened. The alloy is stable in a variety of environments and possesses its mechanical properties up to temperatures of approximately 600°F (316°C), making the alloy appropriate for extreme structural applications.
