AWS Class E410NiMo-16 electrodes boast a carefully formulated chemical composition, featuring around 12% Chromium, 4.5–5.5% Nickel, 0.4–0.8% Molybdenum, and low carbon content to boost corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. These electrodes excel in crack resistance and have a ferrite-austenite microstructure. Their mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 550 MPa, yield strength of 450 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 25%. These traits ensure impressive toughness, particularly in cryogenic or sub-zero conditions, making them perfect for welding 410-type stainless steels in critical and corrosive settings.
