Stainless Steel 202 Pipe Fittings are chromium-nickel-manganese austenitic stainless steels with good strength and moderate resistance to corrosion at a cost-effective price. The usual chemical composition is Chromium (17–19%), Nickel (4–6%), Manganese (7.5–10%), and Carbon up to 0.15%. The fittings have a minimum tensile strength of about 515 MPa and yield strength of 275 MPa with an elongation of about 40%. Though not ideal for corrosive conditions, 202-grade fittings are highly formable and very tough, making them suitable for applications that demand strength and aesthetics but no exposure to chemicals.
