Stainless Steel 317L Coils consist mainly of chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), and molybdenum (3–4%) with low carbon content that makes welding easier and minimizes intergranular corrosion risks. This alloy provides better resistance against chemical attack, especially in acidic and chloride environments, than commercial 316 grades. The mechanical properties are a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa. These coils have good performance in high-temperature and corrosive environments, rendering them suitable for use where strength and corrosion resistance are necessary.
