Forged Fittings of Stainless Steel 347/347H are chromium, nickel, and columbium (niobium) bearing stabilized austenitic stainless steels, and 347H possesses greater carbon content for improved high-temperature strength. All these alloys possess superior resistance to intergranular corrosion, oxidation, and stress rupture. The conventional composition contains about 17-20% chromium, 9-13% nickel, and traces of elements such as columbium and tantalum. Mechanically, they possess a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 35%, which makes them ideal for high-temperature uses that demand sound structural integrity.
