MERIH STAINLESS, headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, is a trusted manufacturer and supplier of high-performance stainless steel products, including Stainless Steel 440C Coils. Known for precision manufacturing and strict adherence to quality standards, MERIH STAINLESS delivers reliable and durable coil solutions for industrial applications that demand superior hardness and wear resistance. By fusing cutting-edge production technology with customer-centricity, the company is catering to a multitude of industries globally with its stainless steel coils that excel in high-stress and wear-critical conditions.
The Stainless Steel 440C Coils are made from a martensitic stainless steel alloy with high carbon content and around 16–18% chromium and 0.95–1.20% carbon. This composition allows the material to be heat-treated to very high levels of hardness—up to 60 HRC—with good strength and moderate corrosion resistance. These coils provide tensile strength in excess of 750 MPa and excellent wear, abrasion, and fatigue properties. While less corrosion-resistant than austenitic grades, 440C has excellent mechanical properties where strength and hardness are the chief requirements.

Stainless Steel 440C Coils are suited for high hardness, wear resistance, and dimensional stability applications. They are used to produce blades and cutting tools, valve parts, bearing races, springs, and injection molds. Applications in aerospace, automotive, defense, tooling, and precision engineering are common. Due to their ability to withstand mechanical stress and friction, 440C coils are well-suited for parts exposed to high loads and continuous motion. While not recommended for highly corrosive or marine environments, they offer excellent performance in dry or mildly corrosive settings.
