446 Tubing Stainless Steel is a high-chromium ferritic stainless steel exhibiting outstanding resistance to oxidation, sulfidation, and corrosion at high temperatures. Its chemical makeup is generally composed of 23–27% chromium, up to 0.20% carbon, 0.5–1.5% molybdenum, and traces of silicon, manganese, and nickel. The alloy provides tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of about 20%. Having great scale resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures, it excels in severe environments where thermal resistance and structural integrity are paramount.
