904L Stainless Steel Coils consist of a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with around 19–23% chromium, 23–28% nickel, 4–5% molybdenum, and 1–2% copper with low carbon. The special composition provides good resistance to aggressive reducing acids such as sulfuric acid, as well as good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and pitting. The alloy is tensile in nature with a tensile strength of approximately 490 MPa, yield strength of 220 MPa, and elongation of approximately 35%. It also exhibits exceptional weldability and formability for high-stakes processing uses.
