MERIH STAINLESS, located in Istanbul, Turkey, stands out as a top manufacturer and supplier of high-quality Stainless Steel Chequered Plates. Often referred to as tread plates or checker plates, these products showcase a raised pattern—be it diamond, five-bar, or other designs—on one side, blending functionality with aesthetic charm. MERIH STAINLESS ensures that their chequered plates meet rigorous standards for strength, surface finish, and corrosion resistance. Perfect for settings where slip resistance and durability are crucial, these plates find their place in industrial flooring, stair treads, architectural features, marine decks, and safety walkways. The raised pattern enhances grip and minimizes risk, while the stainless steel foundation guarantees longevity, even in tough conditions.
The Stainless Steel Chequered Plates from MERIH STAINLESS are crafted from premium stainless steel alloys, typically SS 304, 304L, 316, 316L, or similar variants. These steels contain chromium (around 18–20%), nickel (approximately 8–12%), and sometimes molybdenum (especially in the 316 grade) to boost resistance against chlorides and corrosive substances. Their mechanical properties generally feature a tensile strength of about 500–520 MPa, yield strength around 200-260 MPa, and elongation between 35-40%, depending on the grade and temper. The density is roughly 8.0 g/cm³. The chequered pattern is created through rolling (either hot or cold), ensuring precise thickness tolerances and a consistent surface finish. Available finishes may include 2B, No. 1, brushed, mirror, or polished surfaces on the flat side.
