Stainless Steel 17-4 PH fasteners mainly contain 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, and 3–5% copper, with niobium additions for precipitation hardening. They possess very high mechanical strength, with tensile strength up to 1100 MPa and yield strength of about 1000 MPa, based on heat treatment. They exhibit good corrosion resistance in atmospheric and chemical conditions. The alloy retains its toughness and strength up to 600°F (316°C) temperature. With high dimensional stability and hardness, 17-4 PH fasteners find perfect application in precision engineering and high-load conditions.
