The ER309LSi filler wire and rod are specifically designed to cater to a variety of welding needs, boasting exceptional weldability, impressive strength, and excellent corrosion resistance. Supported by cutting-edge technology and rigorous quality control, MERIH STAINLESS provides industries around the globe with reliable welding solutions tailored for demanding applications.
The AWS Class ER309LSi MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod feature a composition that includes chromium (23–25%), nickel (12–14%), low carbon, and a higher silicon content to enhance the appearance of the weld bead and improve wetting. This wire is known for its outstanding corrosion resistance, particularly against oxidation and scaling at high temperatures. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 550 MPa, a yield strength of around 350 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. The low carbon content helps reduce carbide precipitation, while the addition of silicon boosts fluidity, resulting in smooth welds with minimal spatter and superior mechanical strength.
