The AWS Class ER317L MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod features a higher molybdenum content compared to standard grades, which boosts its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This low-carbon alloy contains about 19%–20% chromium, 13%–15% nickel, and 3%–4% molybdenum, ensuring strong weld integrity. Its mechanical properties include a high tensile strength of around 80,000 psi, good yield strength, and excellent elongation, which contribute to its toughness and crack resistance.
