Stainless Steel 304/304L Channels are Austenitic Stainless Steel profiles with a composition of Chromium (18–20%), Nickel (8–12%), and low content of carbon—304: ≤0.08%, 304L: ≤0.03%. These channels exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, especially in mildly corrosive conditions, and are simple to fabricate and weld. They have mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of 515 MPa minimum, yield strength of 205 MPa minimum, and elongation of 40%. Low carbon content in 304L improves resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding, and thus it is suitable for structural uses where welding is unavoidable without post-weld heat treatment.
