Stainless Steel 347H Stud Bolts are produced from a columbium (niobium) stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy with increased carbon content (usually 0.04–0.10%) for enhanced strength at elevated temperatures. The composition comprises 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and trace amounts of columbium and tantalum. They provide tensile strength of about 585 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Designed for high temperature service, 347H possesses excellent intergranular corrosion resistance and retains strength during extended thermal exposure.
