Stainless Steel 202 Sheets and Plates are chromium-nickel-manganese austenitic stainless steels providing a balance of durability, strength, and moderate corrosion resistance. The common chemical makeup consists of Chromium (17–19%), Nickel (4–6%), Manganese (7.5–10%), and Carbon up to 0.15%. It has a minimum tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 40%. Although 202 contains less corrosion resistance compared to 304, it contains high toughness, workability, and affordability. It’s appropriate for use where exposure is minimal for severe chemicals or marine environments.
