Stainless Steel 440B Sheets and Plates are martensitic stainless steels characterized by a high carbon content of about 0.75–0.95%, along with 16–18% chromium and small amounts of manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. This unique composition grants them impressive hardness, wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance. Their mechanical properties boast tensile strength reaching 700–800 MPa, yield strength around 450–500 MPa, and hardness levels of 50–55 HRC after appropriate heat treatment.
