Stainless Steel 446 is a high-chromium ferritic stainless steel that contains around 23–27% chromium, 0.2% carbon, and very little nickel. It showcases remarkable resistance to oxidation and corrosion, especially at elevated temperatures. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 450 to 600 MPa, yield strength between 250 and 450 MPa, and good hardness up to 220 HB. This steel also boasts high creep resistance, making it perfect for extended exposure to high-temperature settings. Its low thermal expansion and strong dimensional stability make it an excellent choice for demanding applications where consistent performance and durability are essential.

Stainless Steel 446 Hot Rolled Sheets resist high temperature oxidation and corrosion. It comes in standard sheet thickness ranging from 3mm to 50mm width up to 2000 mm and is the choice for many aggressive environments high-heat applications.
Stainless Steel 446 Cold Rolled Plates offer excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Resistant to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion, these plates are available in thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 6 mm and widths up to 1500 mm. They are used in applications requiring precise tolerances.
Stainless Steel 446 Chequered Plates come in a better slip resistance, which is more rugged. They contain a raised pattern on the top surface and, thus, they possess excellent resistance against corrosion. Their common thickness is 2 mm to 10 mm while dimensions are usually 1000 mm x 2000 mm. It suits best for industrial usage and floor purposes.
Stainless Steel 446 Perforated Sheets are sheets that combine corrosion-resistance with useful ventilation and filtering design. In various hole configurations and sizes they are offered for the following usual thicknesses-1mm through 5 mm and sheet sizes up to 1200 mm x 2400 mm. More appropriate for application in architectural and industrial use cases.
Stainless Steel 446 Shim Plates are used to fill gaps and provide precise spacing in mechanical assemblies. They offer excellent high-temperature and corrosion resistance in thicknesses ranging from 0.1 mm to 2 mm and dimensions up to 1000 mm x 1000 mm, which is ideal for precision applications.
Stainless Steel 446 Polished Sheets have a smooth, reflective surface and high resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures. Thickness ranges from 0.5 mm to 5 mm and sizes up to 1500 mm x 3000 mm. They are widely used for decorative and high-visibility applications.
Stainless Steel 446 Sheets and Plates find their place in environments that require exceptional resistance to heat and oxidation. They are frequently used in furnace parts, heat exchangers, boilers, and combustion equipment. This material is also ideal for the chemical processing industry, petrochemical plants, and automotive exhaust components due to its ability to endure corrosive conditions. Furthermore, it is utilized in architectural applications, high-temperature tanks, and industrial machinery that operate under thermal stress. Its blend of strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability guarantees long-lasting performance across a wide array of challenging industrial applications.
Stainless steel 446 sheets and plates have high oxidation and corrosion resistances, thereby suitable for using in high temperatures up to 1100°C They are being used in the furnace components and heat exchanger and furnace linings and some medical devices. Their outstanding strength and corrosion resistance under severe conditions make them appropriate for locations where high temperature resistance and resistance to corrosion are needed In addition to den mouth resistance, they are used in marine products and in pollution control equipment.
