**410S Stainless Steel Sheets and Plates** are manufactured from a low-carbon, non-hardenable form of martensitic stainless steel with about 11.5–13.5% chromium and lowered carbon content (max 0.08%). Weldability is enhanced in this composition, and the possibility of hardening upon welding is minimized. 410S has moderate strength and superior resistance to oxidation and scaling at higher temperatures. Mechanical properties usually consist of a tensile strength ranging from 415–585 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. Lower carbon content also adds to toughness, especially after welding or thermal cycling exposure, with retained good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments.
