Stainless Steel 348H Sheet and Plates are a high-carbon grade of 348 and are particularly intended to provide greater creep resistance and high-temperature strength. The general chemical composition is 17–20% chromium, 8–11% nickel, and higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) along with the addition of niobium for stabilization. These characteristics provide increased high-temperature performance and intergranular corrosion resistance. The substance has tensile strength of around 585 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of around 35%. Stainless Steel 348H is resistant to sustained thermal exposure and is thus suited to high-stress, high-heat applications.
